Lovely Yarns, HON

Hello Baltimore, home of the "Craftologist" of Knit Happens. As like any other crafty girl, I found this cute shop called Lovely Yarns in Hampden. If you are every in Baltimore you gotta check this shop out. Lovely yarns was voted "Baltimore"s best yarn shop" in 2007. It was truly a fun place to be and there lots of things to buy.

I knew this place was cool after spotting the "Knit happens T-shirt" on the wall. They designed that shirt along with two other funny knit T-shirts. The yarn selection was nice and the ladies there were so friendly.

Lovely Yarns had so many cool things to offer like hand dyed yarns, knit supplies, books, and some comfy chairs to sit on. They even have a front porch with a lime green lazyboy. One of the things that I noticed walking through the door were these colorful bears along the main aisle wall. These cuties were made for a non-profit project called The Mother Bear Project. This project is dedicated to providing comfort and hope to children, primarily those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa by giving them a gift of love in the form of hand-knit and crocheted bears. What a great idea! Bravo, Lovely Yarns!

I had a great time talking to the staff and laughing with the customers. It is a must see if you are traveling to Baltimore anytime of the year.

We live in the south of Sweden and have just started our "street knitting".

When we looked around for inspiration, of course we found your web site.
We now have a link to your site in our own blog - hope it´s OK.

Thanks for all your inspiration!!
Keep on knitting ;-)
